WHAT SCEF FUNDS

The SCEF raises money through its Annual Giving Campaign and through special events such as Spring Fling to fund key programs at each of the seven schools in the San Carlos School District.

These programs fall under the following areas:

Health & Well-Being
SCEF funds programs that impact our children's physical and emotional health. This includes Physical Education at the elementary level and Athletic Directors at the middle school level, as well as middle school Counselors and elementary school Friendship Counselors.

Arts & Sciences
SCEF funds programs that explore performing arts, fine arts, technology and science. This includes our elementary Vocal Music Director, our middle school Band and Orchestra Directors, technology support for all K-8 teachers, Science support for K-5 teachers, and the Fine Arts Block and K-4 Spanish instructor at Charter Learning Center.

Literacy
SCEF funds programs that enhance our children's ability to explore the language arts. This includes Librarians for all K-8 students, and enhanced Literacy support for students at the elementary level. In addition we fund a literacy program at Central Middle School.
