MISSION
The San Carlos Educational Foundation (SCEF) is a volunteer led, non-profit organization of parents like you. We represent all seven schools in the San Carlos School District. SCEF has proven to be the most efficient, cost-effective way to help our schools fund salaries for staff to provide the programs and services we want for all our children.
Over the past several years, the San Carlos community has responded to the call. In just six years, we have gone from raising $60,000 to $1,290,000 each year. Our goal for 2010 is $1,700,000.
A few of the ways in which our volunteers serve:
Classroom Ambassadors: Ambassadors educate their fellow classroom parents about SCEF programs, answer questions about the funding needs of our schools, and foster a real connection between families and the SCEF.
Annual Giving and Special Events: Our volunteers assist with direct mail and telephone appeals and community education and fundraising events.
Corporate Outreach: We promote to business leaders that good schools are good for business and enlist the support of our business community.
