Important Dates
23rd October - Peninsula Oktoberfest benefitting SCEF and Redwood City Education Fund (RCEF).
CORPORATE SUPPORTERS
Great schools are everyone's business. Corporations benefit by a highly educated work force and an overall strong business community. Almost every corporation with a significant presence in the San Francisco Bay Area has employees who are parents in the San Carlos community. That is why the SCEF has a history of successful partnerships with large corporations and corporate foundations.
Corporations can partner with the SCEF in a number of ways:
- Provide matching donations when your employees donate individually to the SCEF
- Make donations through your corporate foundation
- Make donations through our corporate partner program and receive an array of promotional benefits
- Be a Spring Fling sponsor, by donating goods, services, gift certificates, unique experiences, or other items and/or cash sponsorship/underwriting for the live and silent auction. With over 900 guests, this annual gala raised $360,000 last year. This year's theme is MAGICAL MASQUERADE: Unmask the Benefits of Education! and it will be on March 6, 2010 at the San Mateo Events Centery
Monetary and in-kind donations are welcome. The SCEF is able to provide your company with generous benefits and promotions that match your level of donation, as indicated in our Benefits Summary with Donor Form attached.
If you would like more information, please contact Chris Danek or Maria Fardis for more details.
LOCAL BUSINESSES
The local business community, including merchants, restaurants, service providers, and professionals are key to keeping San Carlos schools strong.
SCEF has a long history of working with local businesses, including companies in San Carlos, Belmont, Redwood City, San Mateo, and surrounding communities. All of these businesses have supported San Carlos schools, through our past Shop and Dine program, and now through direct donations to the SCEF and Spring Fling.
The SCEF, Spring Fling, and the seven public schools in San Carlos are working together to partner with local businesses. We hope this one request will relieve some of the pressure that you feel when numerous requests come your way. Simply, we would like you to consider what you have given in the past to each school, the Spring Fling, and the SCEF when pledging your total San Carlos School donation for the year. Monetary and in-kind donations (including gift certificates) are welcome.
Participants in the SCEF local business program may also be eligible for the same generous promotional benefits as the large corporations, depending on their level of contribution, as indicated in our Benefits Summary with Donor Form attached.
If you would like more information, please contact Chris Danek or Maria Fardis for more details.
REAL ESTATE
The real estate community knows better than most the value of a strong school system. San Carlos has long been an attractive destination for families wanting to live in a tight-knit community with a strong public school system.
Supporting the schools is instrumental in ensuring a robust economy and healthy property values in the region.
The SCEF has a successful Realtor Program which it continues to enrich and expand. This new Real Estate Partners Program is open to all real estate businesses, including agents, realtors, lenders, mortgage brokers, title insurers, escrow agents, etc.
All participants in the Real Estate Partners Program will be featured in an advertisement placed in the Independent newspaper, as well as other benefits. Please take a look at Benefits Summary and Donor Form for details.
If you are a real estate professional or business and are looking to participate, please contact Holly Noto or Joyce Romeo.
